Freshwater pearls have a soft luster that works well with light fabrics and neutral makeup. Because they are less dense than saltwater pearls, they are also lighter on the scalp during long days.
After wearing, wipe the strand gently with a soft cloth to remove skin oils and residue. Avoid contact with perfume, hairspray, or direct sunlight for extended periods. Store the piece in a soft pouch, away from metal jewelry that might scratch the surface.
If a pearl looks dull after months of use, a professional re-polish can restore much of its luster. Do not use ultrasonic cleaners or harsh chemicals.
